Friendship Series (2)

What Kind Of Friend are You?
I have terrible friends
They stab me behind
They gossip about me
They do not seek my good,
They are even looking for my downfall.
If such despicable people are your friends, Then who are you?
MOST times, we attract our types to ourselves.
If you are a loyal, committed and loving person,
Your friends will likely have 60% or more of your attributes.
But if you are selfish, cold and unloving, most of your friends will be like you.
One who needs friends must first show himself/herself friendly.
Real friendship begins with you.
Don’t be the parasite in a relationship
Friendship where both sides bring values to table last longer.
Maturity is needed if you were meant to have a real and solid relationship.
Ensure you build maturity:
Spiritually,
Character wise,
Information wise,
Emotionally,
Career Wise,
In Loyalty
Etc.
Also, learn to stop being flippant with secrets.
You are a real friend if you love unconditionally without taking status into consideration.
Show me who you are and I will tell you who your friends will be.

Are you a true and real friend?

I Love you!

Friendship Series (1)

WHO ARE YOUR FRIENDS?
Friends are the siblings God never gave us-Mencius
No man can live in Isolation,
We all need a friend in life’s journey.
Someone who understands us,
Who is always there,
Who cares about us,
Someone we can run to when we need support and a shoulder to cry on.
Don’t ever make the mistake of thinking you need no one!
Your friend can be older, younger, richer, poorer, fatter, slimmer, taller or shorter than you are.
In friendship, status, looks and age is not a barrier.
All that is important is ‘at home feeling’ with someone.
Do not let disappointments by past friends close your eyes to REAL, GOOD AND COOL friends around you.
Choose your friends wisely.
You will know if someone is a true and real friend,
If he/she:
Inspires you,
Encourages you,
Respects you (your family and your privacy)
Stands by you in ALL circumstance,
Trusts you,
Tells you the truth, however hurting it is
Fights for you/defends you behind your back
I have many great friends! Do you?

I Love you!

Super Woman, Super Hero!

I love women that are successful!
I love more, women that are happily married and successful!
I love even more women that are happily married, successful and serve mankind!
I love the most women that are happily married, successful, serve mankind and have integrity!
This is why my musing today is on:
My ‘Mum’, friend and supporter: Hon. Folashade Shinkaiye!
It’s her Birthday today!
This woman will just not leave me; she is too interested in my life for her not to be celebrated.
Today I want you to learn from what I learnt from my Super Woman:
Humility: Anyone, Anywhere to her is the same.
To my great woman, the less privilege and the rich is to be treated equally. She can hug anyone no matter how dirty they look.
Service to Humanity, she feel so unfulfilled if she is not helping anyone per time, for her na by force to help o. using her money, home and all to help means nothing.
She has taken care of more children who aren’t hers biologically than most women I know.
Devotion, Commitment & Integrity: Her devotion to her job as the then Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Kogi State is so uncommon, she goes to the ministry on time and returns late like the normal private job. In Naija, which civil servant does that?
Family love: Her love for her family and siblings is so inspiring!
This and many more are the good virtues I learnt from this valuable woman.

Happy Birthday Mum!
When you call one, thousands will answer! May GOD preserve you and shield you from evil arrows.
May your life continue to please God.
Welcome to your year of Elevation!
Please, celebrate my Super Woman and Super Hero with me

I Love you!

BREAKING AN ADDICTION

What are you addicted to?

Alcohol
Beastiality
Body Building
Drugs
Energy drinks
Fame
Food
Gambling
Masturbation
Phone
Pornography
Sex
Sexting
Shopping
Smoking
Television/Video
Anything you can’t do without, you are addicted to.
Do not allow anything control your life!
Addictions waste your time & money,
Makes you unhealthy, risk your freedom and life,
Makes you a disappointment to your loved ones,
Makes you act and look stupid
YOU CAN WIN ADDICTIONS! YES YOU CAN!
BY:
  • Determining to quit/get over it
  • Reflecting on why you do what you do
  • PRAYING!
  • Adopting a strategy
  • Opening up to POSITIVE people who can help
  • Distancing yourself from friends and activities that trigger the activity.
  • Turning your focus to alternative positive things
  • Never giving up!

Rest!

All work and no play make Jack a dull boy is a popular saying which is true,
All work and no rest is terrible.

Rest is important!
Sleep is rest,
Relaxation is rest,
Swimming is rest,
Quietness of the soul is rest!
Playing is rest,
Hanging out with friends is rest.

Rest increases concentration
Rest improves memory function.
Rest boosts your performance level.
Rest enhances your overall mood.
Exercise without rest will achieve little or nothing,
As rest help you lose fat by making you feel less hungry.
Rest! Rest! Rest!
Look for every opportunity to rest
Hard work pays but too much of it kills.

“There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.” — Alan Cohen

Rest! Rest! Rest!

Preparing for Wealth!

I am sure you’re gonna be so rich,
That the rich today will envy you,
I am sure your struggles and hassles will go sooner and you will be called wealthy!
I know your life will radiate God’s immeasurable favour that will skyrocket you to the top!
But,
How prepared are you for wealth?
How matured are you with money?
How will you handle it when it comes?
Disciplining yourself to handle wealth should start now.
Getting to the top is one thing, staying at the top is another.
If you want a long-lasting wealth, then
  • Learn and discipline yourself to:
  • Use a budget to plan and track spending.
  • Put your family first (They will give you peace of mind when wealth comes)
  • Know about taxation (We Nigerians are terrible with tax. Lol)
  • Invest as much as possible.
  • Increase your savings as income grows
  • Handle praises with humility.
  • Help others (The more you help, the less your problems)
  • Give God what is due Him and more.
  • Create a long-term financial plan.
  • Build a business that can survive without you.
  • Be contented with each stage of your life.
  • Avoid wasting resources on too expensive stuffs…..

Know that big income don’t last forever but good investments do.-KGMD

HANDSOME OR ‘HABITSOME’

Big Boy,
Big chest,

Bearded chest,
Six Packs,
Saloon car,
Handsome Bobo,
Heavy Bible,
What else?

Are you a MAN indeed?
Are you a chauvinist who still thinks a male is superior to a female child?
Still believe every successful woman uses her own body to climb the ladder of success?
Still thinks a woman needs beating to be put in order?

My Guy, A real man is:
  • Dependable
  • Humble
  • Responsible
  • Faithful
  • Self-Confident
  • Bold
  • Strict yet Gentle
  • Generous (winks)
  • Self-motivated
  • Fun to be with
  • Self-reliant
  • Leader
  • Unswayable (Have a vision and stand by it and never allow ANYONE destroy it)
A genuine man should:

Respects a woman
Should accept responsibilities for his actions,
Should be thirsty for knowledge
Should lift other people up
Be a great decision maker
Be a Non-Conformist (Don’t do it because everyone does it)

I mean to make myself a man, and if I succeed in that, I shall succeed in everything else- James A. Garfield.
MAN UP GUYS!

‘’Beautiful OR Characterful''

''Beautiful OR Characterful’’

Prettiness is great,
Smooth and velvet skin is really enviable
Outstanding figure is so lovely
All that is outside that make people call you BEAUTIFUL is great.

But,
What is inside you?
How much do you know?
How much of character do you possess?
Are you one of the Babes that sees being respectful as old school?

My Sister,
Beauty catches the eyes
But
Character catches the heart
Beauty is actually not about the fairest skin,
It’s about the purest heart.

People behold your depth and
Your outer beauty means something or nothing depending
on how beautiful your soul is

Build your Character by Hiding in God,
Being polite,
Acquiring knowledge,
Kind,
Generous,
Forgiving
Understanding &
not criticizing,

Character is not hiding your self-love and confidence; it is more of making you a role model!

FOCUS MORE ON THE INNER THAN THE OUTWARD BEAUTY!

YOUR WORDS ARE LIFE!

YOUR WORDS ARE LIFE!

Ever wonder why you remember UPSETTING words people say to you more than the PLEASANT?
It’s because the soul store hurting words while,
The heart only gets tickled by happy/encouraging utterances.

Words have power and energy
Words have the ability to:
Help
Heal
Hinder
Hurt
Harm
Humiliate.

Words can become Sword if not used effectively.
There isn’t word for everything,
So, instead of saying spiteful words,
Please, be silent.

Be conscious of the things you say to people.

Discipline yourselves to:
Speak in a way that conveys respect, gentleness and humility.
Speak in a way to set peace and compassion in motion.
Speak the truth,
Avoid exaggerations

It won’t be forgotten!
Yes!
HOW YOUR WORD MAKE PEOPLE FEEL WON’T BE FORGOTTEN!
Speak life!

Look down on NO ONE!

Look down on NO ONE!

Rif-raff, he/she can amount to nothing.
His/her past is enough to tell me how ugly his/her future will look
Her presence made her future bleakness so obvious
I know nothing good can come out of his/her life.
She is not even educated,
He is even so unexposed,
I am sure he will end up a loser

You are not God!
Never despise your fellow human.
I have seen one, who slept poor and woke up rich,
God is capable of changing a man’s story overnight.

The ragged looking guy today can become a chairman of a conglomerate tomorrow,
That uneducated lady today can become an owner of chains of business tomorrow.

Treat others the way you will like to be treated!
Treat the poor like the rich,
Tables turn you know,
Be careful with people you meet on your way up,
You might meet them on your way down
  • Be a good friend, not a backstabbing one,
  • Encourage someone,
  • Lend a helping hand to somebody in need,
  • Give advice,

  • Give your time,
  • Give your wealth of knowledge to help others grow,
  • Be part of someone’s success story!

NO ONE WILL FORGET THAT MAN/WOMAN WHO WAS THERE FOR THEM OR WHO HELPED THEM CLIMB THE LADDER OF SUCCESS.

DON’T LOOK DOWN ON ANYONE!

SUPPORTING UPSET/GRIEVING FRIENDS

SUPPORTING UPSET/GRIEVING FRIENDS

Your intentions are good!
You genuinely feel the sorrow of the other person.
And off you go to make a call or a visit

THEN YOU DO IT TOTALLY WRONG!
Awww, but I had good intents
Yes you do but,

When a friend, colleague, family or a loved one is:
Grieving the loss of someone or something dear, oss of a job, or
Going through a rejection e.t.c

All they need is SUPPORT.

When commiserating or grieving with someone,
Don’t:
Ever say you know how they feel-IF YOU REALLY DON’T
Contradict how they feel (Make them know they have the right to feel the way they do)
Ever make it about you (don’t say ‘just like when I ------)
Don’t add any advice- it is wrong to say ‘If you had tried this, then this will never happen’

ALWAYS UNDERSTAND:
That the grieving person is not you, so:
  • Learn to just sit there and allow them be
  • Squeeze their hand, rub their backs,
  • Give a huge teddy bear hug,
  • Learn to listen without interrupting.
  • Offer your support and time
  • Run errands for them,
  • Give them privacy if they asked for it.
  • Be genuine in your communication and don’t hide your feelings.
  • Unless they ask for your opinion, don’t give it

THOUGHTS

THOUGHTS

If you think you can’t do it
You won’t do it
If you think you are defeated
You are
If you think you can’t succeed
You won’t
If you think everyone or someone is better than you.
They are!

You are your thoughts
Whatever you think of yourself will eventually come to reality!
Everything you need to get to where you are is within you
And that is your thought
Think consciously and rightly!

Let your thought be on how great you will be
How victorious over life challenges you will be
How everything will work out for your good
How you will have the home of your dreams
How beautiful your life will turn out at the end of it all

Think life
Think love
Think victory
Think success
Think greatness

“If you can believe that you can do it, the whole universe will conspire to help you.”

Engaged?

Engaged?

Congratulations!
This is a more intentional season of your life!

Not a time to show off,
But a time to learn more.

A time to Share your vision and purpose together,

A time to know and discuss some salient issues
Part of which are:

  • Your relationships with God
  • How, what and when to pray for and with each other!
  • How to create boundaries to avoid sexual sin
  • Past Baggage and how to deal with them
  • Who your marriage counsellor/mentor should be
  • Books to read and deliberate on
  • How you can bring out the Best in Each Other
  • Sources of Conflict in marriage and how to resolve them
  • Talk about financial accountability- Get to know the spender and the saver between you.
  • Family and friends (YES! This is so important)
  • Talk about sex (I advise you start this when your wedding is close-by, to avoid doing what you are talking about. Lol)
  • Talk about anything and everything!
  • Prepare for your wedding

AND

HEY BABE!
IF A GUY DON GIVE YOU ENGAGEMENT RING FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS AND E NO TALK ABOUT MARRIAGE,
Haaa! Call a solemn assembly with him, IF HE DOESN’T HAVE A DATE AFTER THIS,

To My Single Babes & Bobos

To My Single Babes & Bobos

I love her so much,
I care for her,
Ask her,
I always do things that make her happy.
I might even marry her one day!
That is good!
No Sis, I have an issue though:

Oh, what is it?
Since, we know we will marry ourselves one day,
Why can’t she have sex with me?
After all, she told me she isn’t a virgin.

She is a child of God,
And she knows how much sex before and outside marriage displeases HIM.
She also knows her worth and value NOW,

Having sex is like giving a part of you out,
If you give yourself to every guy who comes to your life,
What will your husband eventually hold on to?

What if you get pregnant (Are you ready for a baby?)
What about contacting sexually transmitted disease.
Living with sexual guilt can be debilitating.

Shine your eyes wella.  (Love’s blindness has been cured tipetipe o)
Sex is responsibility,
Sex is holy ONLY in marriage
Instead of spending your emotional energy while you are single on wishing you could have sex now,
Why not start working towards serving God more and
Preparing yourself to be a great marriage partner to whoever you marry in the future?

Guys, if you love her,
Then wait!
Get married to her,
Then enjoy your sexual life together with her forever!

BE WISE!
NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SEXUAL PAST IS,
YOU CAN REFUTE SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE.

Which Way Nigeria?

I don't and will never support violence or looting! But, recent happenings in Nigeria has given me sleepless nights more than I have ...
